How to exercise to lose weight

Should you do strength training or cardio? Both are good, right?

Both can be good, but each has its place. The biggest mistake I see women making when they want to lose weight is they focus on cardio and a lot of it! They think they need to burn off those calories to shed those extra pounds.

But it gets a little tricky. What usually happens is they have this big cardio session and then, guess what??? They are starving because they burned so many calories so quickly! So then they have to either starve or eat way more.

Now let’s look at strength training on the other hand. Yes, you still burn calories. It will be less at first, but you will get a longer burn of calories because you are putting on muscle mass!! And you know what that means? That means your body is going to be burning more calories when you are doing NOTHING! That is a win! Sitting on the couch burning more calories!!!

Muscle burns more calories than fat! So when you strength train and put on muscle, not only is it smaller than fat, it burns more calories! So it helps you to slim down and burn more calories.
