Strengthen your body with yoga

A relaxing yoga can be great to wind down your body and your mind when you need to relax, but it isn’t strength training. When you are looking to do yoga but also want to include strength training then you need to look for a yoga workout that is specific for strength training.

I personally like to do a variety of yoga. So sometimes I will do a relaxing yoga that focuses more on stretching and sometimes I will do a yoga workout that is more focused on strength training and balance and is really going to work my muscles.

A yoga workout that includes strength training will commonly include standing poses and balance poses. You will know you are working on strength when you feel those muscles burning!

This video below is a great example of a quick yoga workout that not only has the stretching and breathing components of yoga, but also the strengthening and balance. So go ahead and give this workout a try and let me know what you think!
